Those following the series will have picked up how central the cross is in God’s plan for man. It has forever been in his mind. He planned it (Peter), promised it (Eden), provided it (Abraham). Today, we note how God, creating the sacrifices, pictured the cross.

“For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it for you on the altar to make atonement for your souls, for it is the blood that makes atonement by the life.”
